Details about this class
This is an online course and there will be no required meetings. There will be six required Weekly Discussions and one Optional Extra Credit Discussion, and ten open-book Quizzes/Tests from the textbook and lecture notes. The last Quiz/Test will be a final comprehensive Test at the end of the term. All discussions and the first nine weekly quizzes/tests are due no later than Sunday of each week. The due date of the final test will be announced when the term begins.
The course textbook is Shielded: How the Police Became Untouchable by Joanna Schwartz. Viking is the publisher. The textbook is available at the PCC bookstore or from the publisher or any online bookstore vendor. It is also available on Kindle via Amazon. Please acquire the book before the term begins.
The syllabus will be available on Desire 2 Learn Brightspace when the term begins.

No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
