Details about this class

This course has a team project. Students will need to find a few times to meet online with their teammates. All information about the team project will be provided once the course starts.

Technology

This course utilizes cloud-based labs from Infosec Learning that require a web browser and an internet connection to access. The labs can be purchased from the PCC bookstore or directly from Infosec Learning.

In addition to the textbook and virtual labs, the following are required:

  • Microsoft Office or equivalent (Google Docs, OpenOffice, etc.)
  • Further software may be required for specific labs, and any installation / use instructions will be given in the lab. Students are welcome to uninstall the software after use.
  • Microphone for online meetings or appointments (webcam optional)

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.

Online Prerequisite | Start Guide for Online Learning

Before you take your first online class at PCC, you must complete the start guide for online learning. The start guide will help you decide if online classes are right for you. Once you complete the start guide, you will be eligible to register for online classes.

The Start Guide is not required for Remote classes but strongly recommended.
