Welcome to the Spring Quarter and CIS 140M!
This course has assignments each week - labs and discussions to complete each week.
You will need to purchase a code for XtremeLabs through the PCC Bookstore before you can log in to the labs. The cost of the code is expected to be about $29. Details are with the textbook link. Please arrange to get the text book and the code before the class starts, so you are ready to go on the first day of class.

Technology
This class uses the XtremeLabs online hosting service. A good Internet connection is required because the labs will only work online. Either the Chrome or Edge browser is recommended. The course may be taken on a computer running Windows (10 or 11), Mac OSX (either Intel or M1) or Linux with a good Internet connection.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.

Online Prerequisite | Start Guide for Online Learning
Before you take your first online class at PCC, you must complete the start guide for online learning. The start guide will help you decide if online classes are right for you. Once you complete the start guide, you will be eligible to register for online classes.
The Start Guide is not required for Remote classes but strongly recommended.
