Details about this class

Please log in on the first day of class to review all course requirements. Students who do not log in may be dropped as a no‑show.

You can purchase the required textbook directly through the zyBooks publisher website for approximately $70 (price subject to change). All CIS 121 Information Systems and Programming sections use the same textbook, and it is required for completing assignments.

This is a fully online course (100% web‑based) with no scheduled meeting times. However, you are expected to log in on at least three different days each week. Regular participation is essential for activities such as discussions, which rely on interaction with classmates to build a learning community. Frequent logins also ensure you stay updated on announcements, assignment adjustments, and any changes to the tentative course calendar.

Required Hardware
In addition to having access to a computer that can run the required software, you need to have a microphone for one assignment and your final presentation.

Diagram Software like Visio, or draw.io (a web-based one, like Lucidchart, is fine too)

All the above software is available for free.
