This class introduces Microsoft Office 365 programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access). These programs will also be used to complete assignments related to computer concepts.
The Office 365 suite runs best on a Windows operating system. Microsoft Access does not work on Macintosh or Linux computers so non-Windows users may need to use PCC’s SplashTop program that allows remote access to a campus lab computer.
Students can also use campus labs to complete the single module on M.S. Access if that works them.
Course Meetings: This class will have weekly Zoom meetings on Wednesdays from 2:00 PM to 3:50 PM. The sessions will cover the weekly assignments so attendance is recommended, but not required. The meetings will be recorded and available for later viewing.
Technology
- Meets the technology Requirements for taking an online course at PCC
- A recommended Internet Browser installed
- Ability to use Google Drive and Google Docs
- Ability to install or access Microsoft Office 2019 programs which can be obtained for free through PCC’s Microsoft Office 365 for Education licensing
