Details about this class
About BIT201 Instructor
Dr. Patti Ayala has been with PCC teaching BIT201 Immunochemical Methods, Bi234 microbiology, Bi287 immunology, cell biology and general biology courses for more than 15 years. Previously Dr. Ayala was a scientist with OHSU for 17-plus years.
Dr. Ayala's teaching philosophy for BIT students centers on fostering self-confidence while they acquire and apply new antibody-based techniques, preparing them for the marketplace. Thus, Dr. Ayala's approach to this class encourages student independence during laboratory protocols, with a strong emphasis on result analysis and troubleshooting.
Students are required to use the desire2learn course website to view, download, and print Materials for class. Additional information, including announcements, resources, presentation slides, and more will be posted to the D2L course website. Students are encouraged to check the course website frequently.
