Details about this class

This class is completely online and asynchronous. Week 1 of the term will be dedicated to reviewing the online learning and course introduction modules as well as participating in a discussion board to learn about each other's interests in biotechnology.

Starting on Week 2, students will interact with weekly lecture slides, discussion boards, assignments, and quizzes. There is also a paper covering a bioethical issue of each student's choosing that will be worked on throughout the term.

Technology

While a device to access the internet is recommended, no additional hardware is required.

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.

Before you take your first online class at PCC, you must complete the start guide for online learning. The start guide will help you decide if online classes are right for you. Once you complete the start guide, you will be eligible to register for online classes.
