Details about this class
Much of this class happens online. You are invited to learn our course material through assigned and optional readings and through structured online discussions of assigned questions. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge through the words you post every week to those online discussions, and through the work you submit on quizzes and written assignments. We will meet together once each week by zoom. Class meetings will include lecture, review, discussion, and are intended to be as interactive as class members wish.
We will use a textbook published by Cengage Publishing, but will not use their related MindTap materials, so you are not required to obtain a MindTap access code for this class.
Technology
There is no additional technology required for this class.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.

Before you take your first online class at PCC, you must complete the start guide for online learning. The start guide will help you decide if online classes are right for you. Once you complete the start guide, you will be eligible to register for online classes.
The Start Guide is not required for Remote classes but strongly recommended.
