Details about this class

The online course introduces business management theory, including the basic functions of planning, organizing, directing, leading, and controlling as well as factors contributing to change in current management approaches. Prerequisites: WR 115, RD 115 and MTH 20 or equivalent placement test scores. Recommended: BA 101, Introduction to Business. Audit available.

Management Fundamentals is an introductory course that provides an overview of what management is and why it is needed.  It identifies levels of management, the primary focus of each level, different management styles, and decision making and problem solving processes.

Course will fulfill required and/or elective credit for Portland Community College’s Business Administration or Degree Programs.
