Details about this class

Q: Is this class for me?

If you are interested in international business culture or want to learn about international business, this class is for you. However, this class will not cover exporting and importing nuts and bolts. It will cover the fundamentals of international trade, such as the trade theory, the political and economic systems around the world, ethical and legal issues in global business, and the international monetary systems.

This class serves as an elective for business majors and forms a basis for further study and specialization in the international business field.

Q: What is the prerequisite for this class?

WR 115, RD 115, and MTH 20 or equivalent placement test scores.

Q: How will the class be facilitated?

The class is online; you will log into Brightspace D2L to access it.

I recommend you log in on the first day of class to review the syllabus and the course schedule (the course schedule lists the module topics, readings, and assignments).

Q: Do I need to purchase any textbooks?

No, you do not need to purchase any textbooks. We will use open texts and supplemental materials. I have prepared weekly readings and assignments, from quizzes to discussions. They are available in the Brightspace D2L at the start of the term.

Q: Who is my instructor?

My name is Yuli Auld. I have taught this class on-campus, online, and remotely for a while. Before teaching, I worked in finance, started my importing business, and now, happily helping spread the excitement of learning business to you. There is never a dull moment in business, domestic or international.
