Do you have a library card (Multnomah, Clackamas, Fort Vancouver, etc...)?
- Most of our books are on Hoopla through the library!
- The books above marked with a "*" can be accessed via Hoopla!
- You can sign up for a temporary library card at ANY library, which is strongly recommended for our course.
Week 1 Requirements
- You will need to log on to D2L BEFORE our first class that is on Friday, 1-3:50pm.
- You will need to attend our first class on Friday of Week 1.
- Note that attendance is required as our class only meets once per week. Our class is built around engagement with your peers, and this is something that cannot be made up asynchronously.
- There will be an assignment due by Sunday of Week 1.
- If these tasks are not completed, you will be marked as a "No Show."
Technology
To participate in PCC Online classes, students are expected to be familiar with computers and the Internet. Students are responsible for their own software and computer equipment maintenance and setup. Please visit the TECH PANTHER TRACKS before you take any Remote or Online Classes!
Basic system requirements- Access to a modern computer system.
- Chromebooks, Tablets and/or phones are not ideal for Remote courses.
- A broadband internet provider or mobile carrier with LTE or better service.
- An internet browser is installed on your computer that is preferred by D2L (Chrome or Firefox).
- ZOOM!
- Please make sure it is UPDATED before the class begins.
- Take time to find REACTIONS, ANNOTATE, CHAT, and RAISE HAND within Zoom.
- Being on camera is optional, but you will be expected to participate via Chat.
- Google Apps (Linked to your PCC Gmail Account)
- We will be using Google Slides for a few course activities.
- A way to upload images of your work to D2L (camera, scanner).

- Announcements, grades, readings, course material, and assignments will all be housed on D2L.
- You will be expected to log in to D2L at least twice per week.
Note on the PULSE App
- The PULSE app is good for notifications, but be advised to fully engage with the course, you will need to access D2L from a desktop WEB BROWSER.

No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
