Details about this class
Thanks for your interest in ART 215! This lecture-based class explores the origins, history, and characteristics of popular American house styles, beginning with the Colonial period up through the 20th century.
ART 215 is an in-person class for Spring Term 2024. It meets at the Sylvania campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 – 4:20. Regular attendance is an important component of the class.
Course requirements include activities such as in-class discussions, one page assignments, regular attendance, and quizzes.
A field trip to see houses in Portland's Ladd's Addition Neighborhood is part of the course. Alternate options are provided for students who cannot make the field trip.
