Details about this class
Welcome to Social Studies Class! In this class, we will study all the topics you need to pass your Social Studies GED test. This class meets remotely (online synchronous) on Fridays from 10:00am to 11:50am. The expectation is that you come to this 2 hour class meeting, and do 2 hours of work in the online class shell. We will cover these topics: civics and government, US history, economics, and world geography.
If you cannot attend the Friday classes "live", you can complete the work in the D2L shell as an online (asynchronous) student. Also, all live classes will be recorded.
We are going to have a lot of fun and learn a ton together! If you ever have any questions or need anything, you can email me at jpursell@pcc.edu or call/text 971-303-9780.
Can't wait to meet you!!
For program description, steps to enroll, and schedule of orientation/placement sessions see www.pcc.edu/prepare/basic/

No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
