Details about this class
I will send out a general syllabus and an introductory email with our first readings the week prior to the start of term. Until then, please feel free to reach out if you have specific questions. I am looking forward to a fun, challenging term as we explore current issues and ideas!
Technology
The class meets remotely once a week, so a microphone and webcam are required. We'll take part in lively discussions and relevant class-wide and small group activities using Google tools and Zoom.
Additionally, all essay pre-writing, rough and final drafting will take place in Google Docs (using your PCC login) and will be shared with the instructor before submission in D2L.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
Online technical requirements
Please be sure to read the quick guide to Online Learning technical requirements.
Students with disabilities
Students with disabilities should notify their instructor if accommodations are needed to take this class. For information about technologies that help people with disabilities taking Online based classes please visit the Disability Services website.
