The Story of Abraham: Where Three Faiths Meet

Abraham stands at the center of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Through his story, we will reflect on his choices and challenges while exploring texts, interpretations, and perspectives that developed through three major world religions.

We will closely examine Abraham's story and wrestle with the choices, challenges, relationships, acts of faith, and ethical dilemmas at the heart of his journey. At the same time, we will survey the wide range of interpretations, teachings, rituals, poetry, and art that have grown from these stories within Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Through texts of all kinds, from antiquity to the present, we will explore how different communities have understood and reshaped Abraham’s legacy over time. No prior background is required. Learners of all faiths and of no faith are warmly encouraged to join us.
