Welcome to PSY 201AZ - Introduction to Psychology 1! This class meets fully online, without scheduled Zoom meetings to allow for the greatest flexibility in a student's schedule.

PSY 201 will provide you with an overview of psychological sciences with particular attention to perspectives of psychology, research methods, biological psychology, consciousness (including sleep and psychoactive drugs), sensation and perception, learning, memory, intelligence, and problem-solving.

This course has several different graded assignments including weekly critical thinking journals, weekly discussion posts, weekly reading quizzes, a midterm project, and the written signature assignment paper (required for this Gen Ed course).

Students need access to stable internet and D2L. 

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
