MUC130A Rhythm Training I
Covers basic rhythmic theory, notation, and reading skills as well as rhythmic characteristics of different styles and genres. Includes simple and compound meter, dotted notes, basic usage of tuplets, swing rhythm, basic time signatures, and sight reading skills. This is the first course in a three-course sequence. Recommended: concurrent enrollment in MUC 101, MUC 120A, and MUC 140A. Audit available. (See course content and outcomes.)
