Explore Tech 3 Day Wksp
This no-cost, non-credit, 3-day class presents an overview of resources and technology that support student success as people transition from community to college. The course will help participants develop the skills to communicate effectively in a college setting and prepare them with the technology skills necessary to be successful at Portland Community College. Student will become familiar with the terminology and skills commonly used in PCC classrooms and on campus. The class is designed for English-language learners and people who want to develop their English as well as digital literacy skills. In this class students will learn how to navigate PCC's student portal system and how to access that system via multifactor authentication. They will practice completing digital forms and using the Google suite of services (including Drive, Calendar and Gmail). Students will also learn how to register for PCC courses as well as how to navigate D2L, the online learning platform used at PCC.
