Conversational Pular, ADLaM Alphabet and the Fulani Culture

Campus contacts

Discover the strength and resilience of the Fulani people through their language and rich traditions of Western Africa. Spoken by over 40 million people, Pular is a vital cultural cornerstone. Connect to this community by learning conversation skills and reading and writing the ADLaM script.

Immerse yourself into the Fulani culture, language and history by learning to read, write and understand basic Pular using the ADLaM alphabet. Additionally, we will explore the importance of language preservation in sustaining cultural identity. By the end of the course, students will have gained practical skills in writing ADLaM, learned conversational Pular and deepened their appreciation for Fulani cultural heritage.
