Join Alexis Hamilton, Portland Opera's Manager of Education and Community Engagement for a fun, fabulous dive into this sublime art form. Class one: break down opera stereotypes and go on a whirlwind tour of opera history. Class two: Voice types, Puccini's artistic biography, and what to watch for in La Boheme. Class three: backstage tour and La Boheme performance. Class four: discuss what you experienced and get recommendations about composers to seek out.
