Details about this class

Hello!

I'm so glad you are interested in Exercise Science careers! Exercise science offers a lot of career options depending on your interests and what academic path you might take. In this course, we will go over the major exercise science careers (personal training/fitness, physical therapy, PE teach, strength and conditioning coach, occupational therapist and athletic trainer). You'll gain an understanding of what these jobs entail as well as the professional preparation for them. We will also explore a lot of the skills necessary in these professions and you'll get the opportunity to apply some of them

The course is designed as a hybrid course where you will be required to complete coursework online each week in preparation for our weekly class meetings. Much of the instructional content is delivered online for you to complete at a time that is convenient to you each term. Our weekly class meetings will mostly involve learning activities in follow up to the online materials and activities that you complete before class.

If you have any questions about course content or the format, please email me (alma.eaton@pcc.edu).

Best,

Alma Eaton
