Details about this class

This course is online, no scheduled meeting attendance is required. Recorded lectures will be available each week. 

The course consists of: Assignments, Discussions, Midterm exam, Final exam & Final project. 

 

Technology

1) Students must have access to a personal computer and a C++ compiler. You can use any browser coding environment like onlinegdb, or an IDE of your preference for most of your assignments.  But, you will be working on the PCC Linux server for the second half of the term. Please read Chapter 1: Getting Started with Linux in the PCC Linux and Vim manual.

2)This course uses an online textbook from zyBooks.com - there is no hardcopy textbook.

[Note: It is better to buy from the zybooks web site than the PCC bookstore unless you have financial aid.  If you have any other subscription concern or question email support@zybooks.com for any issues. The response time is very good.]

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
