Technology
You will be coding python in this class. Most computers should work for this, ideally a Windows based system. In addition, you will use the browser to view, upload, download, etc., from the class. You will interact with me and other students through zoom, so best situation here is a computer with a microphone and camera. Zoom from smartphone may be OK in some cases but much harder when sharing screens, etc.
The course consists of assignments, labs (problem sets) discussions, a midterm, a final exam. This class has a solid mix of hands on coding combined with academic learning and problem solving.
Zoom on a smartphone is ok but won't be nearly as effective.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
