Details about this class
Online classes require considerable self-discipline and motivation, and they are not suitable for everybody. Expect to put aside a minimum of 6-8 hours weekly for your independent learning in this class.
To learn more about how we will deliver speeches in an online class, please click on this Welcome Message (which I generally send to the class a few days before the term begins).

Technology
Important Note:
- Online Public Speaking requires a significant degree of technology skills. Before registering for this course, you should be comfortable with managing Zoom meetings and with taking and uploading quality videos.
- Reliable access to a laptop or desktop is required for completing your work in this class (a mobile phone or tablet is not sufficient).
Other Resources Needed for this Class:
- Reliable Internet connection for completing module work and for recording Zoom videos online.
- Quiet room where you can record your speeches.
(PCC libraries can help with these needs).
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
