Details about this class

ECE 124 is an engaging and interactive course that involves active participation through whole-class and small-group discussions.

This hybrid course alternates weekly between live Zoom sessions and independent online learning. During online weeks, students will access course materials, assignments, and discussions through D2L Brightspace.

Through readings, discussions, and projects, students will explore how their own experiences, belief systems, identities, and values shape their interactions with children, families, and communities. The course emphasizes the influence of cultural, linguistic, social, and economic identities and histories on relationships within diverse populations.

Attendance is required for both the scheduled Zoom meetings and the independent online weeks.

Technology

There is no additional technology required for this class.

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
