BI234 Microbiology

Covers the relationships of bacteria, viruses, and other microbes to human health and disease, basic immunology, microbial genetics, morphology, metabolism, and bacterial identification. Stresses, in the laboratory, aseptic technique, bacterial identification and physiology using a variety of media, culturing techniques, and staining techniques. Recommended: prior completion of BI 231. Prerequisites: BI 112 or BI 221Z or (BI 211 and BI 212). Audit available. (See course content and outcomes.)
