Learn how to use QuickBooks Online (QBO), the leading cloud-based accounting software. In this hands-on course, you will record business transactions, manage customers and vendors, process sales and expenses, perform banking activities, reconcile accounts, and generate and analyze financial reports using QuickBooks Online.
This course is designed for students pursuing careers in accounting, bookkeeping, business, or anyone wanting practical QuickBooks skills that employers value.
Course Format- 100% Online (Asynchronous) – There are no required class meeting times.
- Optional weekly Zoom office hours are available for questions, demonstrations, and additional support.
- All course materials will be available in D2L and the Labyrinth eLab beginning on the first day of the term.

The Labyrinth eLab platform is required for this course. Students will complete chapter assignments, submit selected Excel activities, and take chapter quizzes, unit exams, and the final exam through eLab.
Detailed instructions for creating your Labyrinth account, registering for eLab, and accessing QuickBooks Online will be provided in D2L when the course begins.
The course syllabus and schedule will be emailed to you before the start of the term.

Technology
This course uses QuickBooks Online (QBO), Intuit's industry-leading, cloud-based accounting software used by businesses and accounting professionals around the world.
- QuickBooks Online can be accessed using a Windows PC or Mac with a current web browser and reliable internet connection.
- While QBO offers mobile access, a desktop or laptop computer is strongly recommended for completing course assignments and activities.
- Intuit regularly updates QuickBooks Online throughout the year. Because the software is cloud-based, students will always be working in the current version.
Microsoft Excel is an essential tool also used throughout this course. You will:
- Export accounting reports from QuickBooks Online to Excel.
- Perform basic formatting and spreadsheet tasks.
- Upload required Excel files to Labyrinth eLab for grading.
Important: Students should already have a basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel before beginning this course, including opening and saving workbooks, entering and editing data, formatting cells, and uploading files.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
