Details about this class
This course uses an instructor-developed Personal Finance Playbook along with Emotional Intelligence 2.0 materials. The course focuses on practical financial decision-making, including budgeting, banking, credit, borrowing, housing, insurance, investing, retirement, taxes, and long-term financial planning.
Students who have already completed the Emotional Intelligence 2.0 assessment through another course, workplace, or professional setting do not need to purchase this book again, as long as they still have access to their assessment results.
Students should expect applied personal finance activities, reflection assignments, professional writing, and real-world financial examples rather than a traditional memorization-based textbook course. The course is designed to help students build a stronger financial foundation and connect money decisions to habits, goals, EQ, and everyday life.
Because this is a fully online course, students should expect to complete weekly assignments, readings, activities, and occasional discussions independently while managing their time effectively.
Technology
Students will need access to Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF viewing software, or equivalent programs that can create, edit, save, and upload .doc, .docx, .xlsx, and PDF file
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
