Details about this class

This course uses an instructor-developed Management Playbook along with CliftonStrengths and Emotional Intelligence 2.0 materials. The course focuses on practical management skills, including the transition from employee to manager, self-management, EQ, CliftonStrengths, planning, communication, teamwork, and workplace decision-making.

Students who have already completed the CliftonStrengths assessment and/or the Emotional Intelligence 2.0 assessment through another course, workplace, or professional setting do not need to purchase those materials again, as long as they still have access to their assessment results.

Students should expect applied management labs, reflection activities, professional writing assignments, and workplace-based examples rather than a traditional memorization-based textbook course.

Technology

Students will need access to Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF viewing software, or equivalent programs that can create, edit, save, and upload .doc, .docx, .xlsx, and PDF files

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
