RIP – PCC’s Video Production Unit (VPU) – Eliminated Aug. 1, 2026
As part of Online Learning at PCC, the Video Production Unit was a resource for PCC faculty and staff who wanted to work with dedicated video production staff in developing and creating high-quality educational videos to benefit students in their educational pursuits. It existed from 2004 to 2026 and produced well over 1,000 videos.
In February 2025, Online Learning management chose to eliminate the position of Video Producer, effective July 31st, 2026, which put an end to the Video Production Unit. This leaves Online Learning and the college broadly without a video production resource dedicated to supporting and creating educational videos.
