Our mediation courses are taught by leading mediation professional, Tsipora Dimant. A hallmark of the training is the individualized coaching provided by a team of professional mediators. The mediation experience comes to life through a comprehensive exploration of concepts, experiential learning, and vivid examples from the instructors’ wealth of practical experience. Learn to use mediation skills to help resolve conflicts in workplace, court, business, or community-related disputes.

Develop the communication, facilitation, and equity-centered skills needed to mediate conflict confidently and effectively. PCC’s Mediation Training Series offers three courses that can be taken individually or as a powerful professional-development cluster:

Basic Mediation Training

Provides a highly interactive training to become a mediator and to develop better communication skills in conflict situations. Learn to use mediation skills to help resolve conflicts in workplace, court, business or community-related disputes.

Mediation Skills for Leads, Supervisors and Managers

Learn to increase your knowledge of conflict and gain mediation skills that can be used to reduce the types of negativity and confusion that often arise when people are in conflict with each other. Resolve disputes and build a productive workplace.

Equity Informed Mediation

Mediating conflict effectively requires a robust and specific skillset. To stay relevant and ensure your mediation approach is equitable, join this course to strengthen your skillset and approach to equity-informed mediation.

In these classes you’ll learn how to:

Meet the instructor

Tsipora Dimant

Tsipora has been a mediator and trainer for 30 years. She started her mediation career at Small Claims Court, where she mediated hundreds of cases over 15-plus years. She also directed the Dispute Resolution Department at the Better Business Bureau where she oversaw mediations and arbitration services for businesses and consumers in dispute.

In the last 10 years, Tsipora worked as a mediator and conflict coach at OHSU and the City of Beaverton. Recently she helped launch a peer mediation program for the Oregon Education Association, which serves 45,000 members. She is currently mediating divorce and post-divorce conflicts, and teaching mediation courses.

Her work is focused on helping couples learn new communication skills as they navigate the physical and emotional separation.
