The newly unveiled Answer Center at Sylvania Campus is the latest in a series of capitol improvements coming to the CC Building.

Following the completion of the CC Building’s lower mall overhaul, the new Answer Center brings Enrollment Services, Financial Aid, Student Accounts and the Orientation Center to one central location in a renovated space at the South end of the mall.

The open floor plan, improved lighting and updated finishes are just the surface of the changes made to Sylvania’s approach to delivering student services.

The Answer Center is a one-stop service area where students can access and navigate enrollment related college resources with help from cross-trained staff. Students can get answers on how to register for classes, complete their financial aid documents, pay their bills, and obtain their official transcripts — all in one place.

Students can avoid waiting in line for a representative at the department windows by submitting forms via MyPCC at the computer kiosks at the Answer Center.

If the supported self-service kiosks are not sufficient to address their needs, students may be directed to the correct department for personalized attention. They can visit Enrollment Services, Financial Aid and Student Account windows adjacent to the Answer Center. The Orientation Center is also available to assist new students with first term academic planning and a comprehensive orientation to set students up for success on day one of classes.

In an effort to make it easier for students to navigate the administrative system, Answer Centers are coming to all four campuses thanks to funding from the voter-approved bond program. Southeast Center’s Answer Center was launched with the opening of the new Student Commons building this January, while construction is set to begin on Rock Creek’s and Cascade’s Answer Centers in the next year.
