Campuses hosting 50th anniversary kickoff events

After a successful district 50th anniversary kickoff celebration in Pioneer Courthouse Square on Oct. 7, PCC campuses are now getting into the act. Below, you’ll find a brief schedule of the remaining campus kickoffs. If you want to read more about PCC’s beginnings, read a story about our first PCC campus.

Revelers will be in full force at upcoming campus kickoffs.

4:30-6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 19, 4:30-6 p.m., Southeast Center

Southeast Center’s 50th kickoff will feature live music from Chervona, recognition of Ken Turner, founder of the SE 82nd Avenue of Roses Parade, light refreshments, and an update on their bond-funded build-out plans.

2-4 p.m., Friday, Oct. 21, Cascade Campus

Cascade’s kickoff will be highlighted by the official dedication of the Senator Margaret Carter Technology Education Building, including music, snacks and beverages. Read more about who Margaret Carter was and what will happen Friday.

10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22, Rock Creek Campus

Rock Creek’s annual, student-sponsored Harvest Festival will also celebrate the college’s 50th Anniversary. The Theatre Arts Program will present “The Princess and the Pea,” and the Fanno Creek Boys will fill the air with Blue Grass music. Check out all else that will go on at Rock Creek Saturday.
