Here is a look at some of the news stories about PCC from around the local area and the nation in June. In total, PCC events and people appeared 82 times in the local community or national online media, newspapers or TV/radio. This is an increase of 64 percent from the same time period a year ago.
June 1, the Portland Business Journal, The Oregonian and the Daily Journal Of Commerce showcased PCC’s purchase of neighboring properties to Southeast Center.

June 14, Community College Week ranked all of the community colleges in degree offerings and had PCC rated in six of the lists – all associate’s degrees (41st), degrees to non-minorities (32), American Indians (67), Hispanics (67), Asian Americans (67), liberal arts students (27) and parks, recreation, leisure and fitness students (35).
June 15, OregonLive featured PCC hosting office hours for an employee from the Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
June 19, Minneapolis Post showcased PCC’s Gateway to College Program in a series of articles highlighting alternative education.
