Rep. Bailey slates town hall on east side of Portland

I am, as some people know, a big fan of the town hall meeting. They are the best places to get face-time with your lawmaker, to truly get your point across. So I’ll try to keep track of the town halls in this neck of the woods, and let you know about them.
Rep. Jules Kopel Bailey is hosting such an event from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at True Brew Espresso 3370 S.E. Milwaukie Ave. His district takes up a portion of central eastside Portland.
Rep. Bailey – newly elected to the House in November – has said he will host these events, Java With Jules, in coffee shops around his district on the last Saturday of every month. That’s pretty ambitious, but if you want to express a point of view, or just get an update on the goings-on in Salem, I’d recommend taking advantage of this.
