Cascade hosts giving tree, adopt-a-family for holiday season

Photos and story by

The Cascade Campus Giving Tree is located in the interior street of the SC Building outside the library. Each card represents a child who is in need this holiday season. You can take the tag and return it with your gift to the ASPCC Underground by Monday, Dec. 8.

These children were unfortunately not chosen by the lottery system for the Adopt-A-Family program. For more information, call (503) 978-5114.

Also, this holiday season consider adopting a family for Christmas. Each year the Cascade student government and many staff adopt student families for Christmas. Eighteen student families (with more than 40 children) have been chosen this year. If you, your family, or your department would like to adopt one of these families please email kesary@pcc.edu with the family letter. This year, with so many applicants they are focusing on just the children.

The students were asked to give a wish list of items for each child in their family. All items, wrapped or unwrapped, need to be delivered to CA SC 03 by Monday, Dec. 8. If you would like to make a cash or gift card donation for a child you may turn those into ASPCC SC 03.
