Meetings set to learn about potential bond measure

Photos and Story by

Students, staff and faculty of Portland Community College will get an opportunity to learn about the college’s potential bond measure at a series of informational meetings being held throughout the district.

The college likely will seek voter approval of a bond measure in November 2008. The Board of Directors will decide at its March meeting.

In the meantime, District President Preston Pulliams will tour the district, explaining the challenges facing the college today, including finding ways to serve every student who wants to attend, winnowing down the waiting lists for classes, finding space for additional classrooms and providing students with modern technology to help train them for the jobs of today.

Opportunity to ask questions and to give input will be built into these meetings. People may attend any meeting at any campus.
