Rock Creek Campus to re-open May 3 after sweep of campus yields nothing

Photos and Story by

PCC will re-open the Rock Creek Campus for Thursday, May 3 following an investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. Nothing of significance was found during a sweep of the campus. All classes and events at the campus will go on as scheduled.

At 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2, another threatening note was found in Building 9 of the Rock Creek Campus by a PCC employee. Because the note mentioned May 2, the campus was evacuated in an orderly fashion by College Public Safety and local law enforcement personnel.

At this point, the college is not aware of any connection between this note and the note received last week. The college decided to close the campus as a precaution. In situations like these, the safety of students and staff are the college’s chief concerns.
