Photos and Story by

PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Community College has a class for creative types who have a passion for self expression. The non-credit class will help them create a "zine" of their own by using life experience to construct a one-of-a-kind autobiography and guide students through the steps necessary to create a zine. Stop waiting for someone to write about your life and community – do it yourself in Zines: Explorations in Self Publication! Zines are self-produced publications which are written and read by people all over the world. Writers of all abilities and experience are welcome. The class non-credit will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 10 through Feb. 14, in Room JH 112 at the PCC Cascade Campus, 705 N Killingsworth St. Cost is $59. For more information contact the PCC Community Education office at 503-978-5143.
