PCC offers non-credit class in oriental brush painting

ALOHA, Ore. – Traditional oriental brush painting can help you create modern works of art for your home. Take this special opportunity to discover a beautiful painting technique with a non-credit class offered by Portland Community College. Oriental Brush Painting, taught by Christine Lee, will show how using a combination of color and ink can produce a refined and delicate gradation of strokes. In no time, students will begin painting flowers, birds, grasses, pandas and more on rice paper. The results are beautiful paintings or cards that can be hung. "Christine has been teaching this art to people for years and her enthusiasm continues to inspire students. They are constantly amazed at their own beautiful work,"said Janice Dolan, PCC Community Education manager.The eight-week class will take place from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturdays, April 3 through May 22, in Room 1543 at PCC’s Washington County Workforce Training Center, 18624 N.W.
