PR Pro Teaches How to Break into the Business

PORTLAND, Ore. – For the creative, strategic and communication-savvy, public relations just might be the perfect career field. Portland Community College will offer the chance to explore public relations and just how to get your foot in the door when it comes to this highly competitive profession.Tom Unger, a local communications executive at Wells Fargo and veteran public relations practitioner, will offer expert advice in Introduction to Corporate Communications, a one-day, non-credit workshop. Whether it’s looking to move up from a junior position, or seeking sure-fire ways to get your resume noticed, students will come away armed with a comprehensive overview of this field and its many opportunities.The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 20, in Room 205 SCB of PCC’s Sylvania Campus, 12000 S.W. 49th Ave. Cost is $21.
