Have a Woodworking Project in Mind? Talk to PCC

HILLSBORO/FOREST GROVE – Is working with wood something you’ve always wanted to do? Then Portland Community College has three non-credit classes for you. Woodworking Projects is for all skill levels and students can work on any type of project, although the students must furnish materials. Some items will be made available for purchase at class. Michael Sawyer and Chuck Thurber will lead students through training on equipment operations and safety skills, and guide them on their unique project during the 10-week course.The first class will run from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. every Monday between April 2 and June 11 (no class May 28) at the woodshop at Forest Grove High School, located at 1401 Nichols Lane. The cost is $101. The second class will be offered from 7 to 10 p.m. on Tuesdays between April 3 and June 5 at the woodshop at Glencoe High School, located 2700 N.W. Glencoe Rd. The cost is $98. The third class will run from 7 to 10 p.m. every Thursday between April 5 and June 7 at the Glencoe woodshop. The cost is $98.
