ALOHA — Seeking balance in a world like a tumble dryer? Learn the basics of the gentle ancient Chinese exercise form in the eight-week class Tai Chi Chih Beginning at the Northwest Fitness Complex starting Thursday, Jan. 16.

Learn this moving meditation consisting of 20 slow motion exercises, performed individually in a relaxed standing posture, from instructor Tomada Johnson.

The weekly class meets Thursday mornings through March 6 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the aerobics room of the Northwest Fitness Complex, located at 2055 SW Tualatin Valley Highway. Tuition is $20.
