Four PCC Faculty Named in "Who's Who Among America's Teachers"

Four Portland Community College instructors have been included in the 1996 edition of "Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers." They are Angela Berdahl, English instructor at the Rock Creek Campus; and three instructors who teach at the Sylvania Campus: Jerry Button, biology; Michael McDowell, English; and Roberta Wald, biology.
The four were nominated for all-round excellence in teaching by one or more former students who themselves were listed in either "Who’s Who Among American High School Students" or "The National Dean’s List."
Approximately 120,000 teachers from across the U.S. were nominated for this recognition and are included in the new edition of the directory.
Berdahl has taught at PCC for four years and is a resident of Hillsboro. Button and Wald each have over 20 years of teaching experience at PCC; McDowell, 15 years at PCC.
Button and McDowell live in Southwest Portland and Wald is a resident of Lake Oswego.
