This drawing was for an assignment on showing value. Ultimately I chose not to submit it for that assignment as it grew organically into having more of a focus on the color and vitality of the bird rather than the relative values, so I went along with that to work at really showing the liveliness of the bird and the vivid colors that naturally occur in life.
