For this diptych I paired a vintage family slide that had been digitized with a photo taken for ART 140A. I chose the vintage photo because it has an interesting composition with its dynamic diagonals, balanced asymmetry, and areas of high contrast. I paired it with a photo that echoes some of those diagonals and plays off of the bright green color of the boy's shirt.

On the left a woman sitting on a vintage couch reads solemnly, echoed on the right by a mysterious, darkened landscape with billowy clouds off in the distance.
