This drawing was done toward the end of term in an effort to improve my skills with colored pencils, a medium with which I had previously had little familiarity. I focused on using the colored pencils and a solvent to render an image with vibrant color and depth, with a focus on making the subject of the portrait have a lifelike appearance.
