This piece is a part of a series my instructor is having me develop for a personal story of mine. The image started as an inked drawing that my teacher wanted me to convert to digital. When remaking the drawing, I completely changed the perspective, pose, and background of the image to really try and push the mood I was going for. My story also contains many references to mythology, so the cougar in the original image was changed to reference the Cactus Cat, a fun folklore monster.
