Mobile Welding Outreach & Skills Training Center Chain Cutting
Thanks to the generous support of Union Pacific, Portland Community College (PCC) is embarking on a groundbreaking initiative – the Mobile Welding Outreach & Skills Training Center.
This innovative project aims to extend the reach of PCC’s skilled trades training programs by bringing the classroom to communities across the region, while building a more robust workforce pipeline for Oregon’s leading industries and companies, including Union Pacific. Through this new program model, individuals who may have previously faced barriers to career development in the trades will now have the opportunity to earn valuable certificates in high-demand industries.
