Friends of Tryon Creek: Nature Center Volunteer!

Volunteer Opportunities NewsletterAre you interested in sharing your connection to nature with others and learning more about this unique urban forest? Then consider becoming a Nature Center Volunteer!

Nature Center volunteers are the face of Tryon Creek State Natural Area. They welcome visitors, provide information about the park and programs, promote membership, answer phone calls, and sell merchandise at the Nature Store.

This volunteer role requires an initial interview and training. Volunteers are supported by Friends of Tryon Creek and Oregon State Parks staff. Shifts are from 9am-12:30pm or 12:30pm – 4pm, and can be scheduled any day of the week. Time commitments can vary from weekly to once a month, or somewhere in between depending on your schedule.

Gain experience in customer service, sales, environmental outreach and education, non-profit organizations and state agencies.

The Friends of Tryon Creek, in partnership with Oregon State Parks, has worked to nurture relationships with nature and connect people to Tryon Creek State Natural Area, Oregon’s only urban state natural area. Tualatin Riverkeepers is dedicated to holistic watershed management for the benefit of our communities.
